Benjamin C. Green has been practicing criminal and civil law for over 25 years. Ben’s primary areas of practice are Criminal Defense, DUI Defense, Serious Personal Injury, Game and Fish cases, and related administrative proceedings, including MVD administrative proceedings. Ben served as a former Deputy County Attorney with the Maricopa County Attorney’s office from 1999 through 2001 where he was assigned the duties of prosecuting major felony matters. Prior to that, Ben worked for the well-established law firm of Carson Messinger Elliot Laughlin & Ragan, P.L.L.C.
Ben represents clients in both felony and misdemeanor cases pending in both State and Federal courts. Ben has conducted numerous jury and bench trials in various municipal, city, justice, and superior courts across the State of Arizona. Ben has successfully defended clients in charges ranging from minor misdemeanors to homicide. In particular, Ben has successfully defended clients charged with city code violations, Game & Fish violations, domestic violence offenses, drug and alcohol-related offenses, theft and fraud-related offenses, weapons charges, assault and violent offenses, vehicular crimes, and homicide.
With respect to alcohol-related offenses, Ben has successfully defended a number of clients charged with DUI, Extreme DUI, Super Extreme DUI, and Aggravated DUI in blood, breath, and urine cases. Ben has obtained numerous “not guilty” verdicts in DUI matters with blood concentrations of varying levels, including over .20. Ben also has represented clients in a number of alcohol-related vehicular manslaughter and aggravated assault cases. He also represents clients in MVD administrative proceedings and counsels professional clients on related professional license issues that may be impacted by a criminal prosecution.
Ben is admitted to the National College for DUI Defense, Inc. (admitted only on the recommendation of peers and judges) and regularly gives seminars to groups and other attorneys on DUI-related issues. Ben is also AV Preeminent® rated in criminal law, which is the top peer review rating an attorney can receive through Martindale Hubbell’s® peer review rating service.
In April of 2013, Ben completed the Forensic Chromatography IX: Theory and Practice course offered by Axion Training Institute, Inc. in Chicago, Illinois. The course consisted of 40 hours of hands-on training and analysis of Gas Chromatography devices similar to those used in Arizona to test a person’s blood. Ben was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for this course.
Ben has recently successfully defended a number of high-profile cases and obtained several not guilty verdicts in a variety of criminal matters.
Ben also represents clients in serious personal injury and wrongful death matters throughout the State of Arizona. Ben and his team have represented clients seriously injured in motorcycle, trucking, auto, and bus accidents. His cases also include premises liability and serious-injury dog bites. He has represented both adults and minors in these types of cases. Ben and his team handle not only the liability and damages aspects of a case, but lien and probate issues, as well as other related insurance issues. We have recovered millions of dollars for our clients, and Ben is selective in the cases he accepts.
